What you will accomplish as a « Stress engineer REO » :

 

  • Understanding the type of damage and repair;
  • Identifying and locating the damages in the drawings;
  • Identifying the potential crack growth possibilities (scenarios);
  • Estimating the effect of damage/repair on the existing SSIs/PSEs;
  • Section properties calculation at the rework location;
  • Calculation of fatigue stress spectrum and static limit stress using Golihat;
  • Generation of beta factors for the crack growth scenarios using "Beta" software or NASGRO;
  • Residual Strength check analysis in excel sheet;
  • Crack growth analysis through CRPR;
  • Specification of inspection requirements such as threshold, repeat intervals and method of inspections;
  • Preparation of DT report for the DT analysis carried out;
  • Quality check an the DT analysis and report;
  • Final delivery as per the deadlines given in status grid;
  • Review of work for final approval;
  • DT analyses files such as calculations excel sheets, stress files, beta files & CRPR files;
  • DT stress reports.

 

 



Profil souhaité

Required competencies and qualifications :

  • Engineering knowledge with experience of FEM in aircraft industry;
  • About 5-8 years of relevant experience in repair engineering;
  • Engineering knowledge with experience of Damage Tolerance Analysis in aircraft industry;
  • Ability to interpret service damage reports;
  • Knowledge about methodology for Damage Tolerance Analysis and repairs;
  • Agility to work under tight schedule and still manage multiple urgent tasks in parallel;
  • Have a good communication skill and a pro-active approach to discuss technical issues;
  • Expertise in MS Office (Word, Excel, etc.), In-House DTA tools such as CRPR program for DADT analysis, GOLIHAT program for stress calculation, Betas and Green beta programs, Nasgro program, Patran to access FE details;
